MINT-Hep is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of liver diseases and cancers. The members of MINT-Hep come from all the specialties involved in patient care (hepatologists, pathologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists; biologists, and surgeons) and research (molecular biologists and data scientists). We aim to address complex challenges in hepatology and liver oncology through innovative, data-driven techniques. We develop multi-omics approaches to uncover the biological and molecular mechanisms that underlie liver diseases and cancers, with a focus on inter- and intra patient heterogeneity. We believe that the combination of different know-how and technologies is key to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Our team also has a recognized expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning tools to analyze large-scale datasets, discover hidden patterns, and ultimately predict patient outcomes. Through collaboration across disciplines and the integration of cutting-edge technologies, our mission is to contribute to transformative discoveries that will shape the future of liver disease and cancer research and treatment.
